Our stock list is in Excel with no codes at all. Can you handle that?
Yes, and it is the normal starting point. We bring in whatever descriptions you have, help your team name and code each part, and add the OE number and interchange references as your counter staff know them. Nobody expects a shopkeeper to arrive with clean data.
We deal in returnable old parts. How is that tracked?
An exchange entry links the old part received to the new part sold, with the value deducted on the bill. The old part goes back into exchange stock with its own quantity, so you can see what you hold and what is still with the customer. This is usually the first thing customers notice improving.
Garages buy on credit and pay late. Can we hold them to a limit?
Yes. Credit limits and payment terms are set per garage or fleet, and the system can hold an order at the limit. Overdue accounts also show as one list, sorted by amount and days, so the counter knows which customer to be careful with before the sale.
Do you print barcodes and part labels for us?
Yes. We generate barcodes for the parts you choose and print shelf and bin labels, which is usually the first thing that speeds up the counter. New stock added later gets printed the same way, in batches, so labelling does not become a job again.
Can quotations, receipts and ledgers really go out on WhatsApp?
Yes. Sales orders can be approved and shared on WhatsApp or email, receipts and invoices go out straight from the app, and the partner ledger can be sent from the mobile app. It is the same data as Odoo — no separate list on someone's phone.
We buy from local yards and get handwritten bills. Can Odoo read them?
The bills can be captured with OCR — a photo or scan creates the purchase data instead of someone typing it. Requisitions also raise themselves when stock falls to your MOQ level. Your team checks the result; they do not start from a blank page.
Do targets, commissions and TDS sit inside this too?
Yes. Sales targets versus achievement and salesperson-wise commission are tracked on delivery, TDS is handled in the same books, and product-wise and partner-wise margin reports come out without a separate spreadsheet.
